(New York, NY) The complete pregame and postgame talent roster for Thursday Night Football on NFL Network and CBS is set. Joining the previously announced set featuring host James Brown and analysts Deion Sanders and Bill Cowher will be an additional set featuring host Rich Eisen and analysts Michael Irvin, Marshall Faulk and Steve Mariucci.
Every Thursday at 6:00 PM ET on NFL Network, Eisen will kick off the NFL week with Irvin, Faulk and Mariucci live from outside the stadium on NFL Total Access Kickoff. The cast will provide news and analysis of the upcoming matchup, as well as highlight the atmosphere and festivities outside the stadium as fans arrive for every Thursday Night Football game on CBS and NFL Network.
At 7:30 PM ET, Brown, Sanders and Cowher anchor NFL Thursday Night Kickoff from inside the stadium. The show will air on CBS and be simulcast on NFL Network during Weeks 2-8 and air exclusively on NFL Network during Weeks 9-12 and 14-16. During halftime, Brown, Sanders and Cowher host the Lexus Halftime Show on CBS and NFL Network.
Brown, Sanders and Cowher also will appear on NFL Total Access Kickoff in the 6:00-7:30 PM ET window, while Eisen, Irvin, Faulk and Mariucci will appear within NFL Thursday Night Kickoff from 7:30 PM ET to kickoff.
Additionally, throughout the course of the 2014 Thursday Night Football schedule, NFL Network and CBS analysts such as Tony Gonzalez, Kurt Warner, LaDainian Tomlinson, Willie McGinest, Terrell Davis and more will appear on-location on both the NFL Total Access Kickoff and NFL Thursday Night Kickoff pregame shows.
Immediately following each game, the Mazda Postgame Show airs live from the stadium on NFL Network and CBS. Eisen, Irvin, Faulk, Mariucci and Sanders reprise their wildly entertaining postgame show, providing highlights, analysis and live interviews. Each week, a player or coach from the winning team will join the crew on-set to discuss the victory, receive a gift bag which will vary each week and leave their handprints on the Winning Hands wall.
The full slate of 16 regular-season Thursday Night Football games will be produced by CBS with its broadcasters and production team, including Jim Nantz, Phil Simms and Tracy Wolfson. The Thursday Night Football schedule kicks off on September 11 with Steelers vs. Ravens from Baltimore.

(SARASOTA, FL) Success breeds imitation. Barbara Walters creation, “The View”, like it or not, has been a ratings success for the ABC Television Network for 17 years. Despite undergoing a myriad of host changes, including bringing back Rosie O’Donnell this upcoming season, the show continues to create a buzz in the media world. With that in mind, WWSB Channel 7, Sarasota’s ABC affiliate, is launching its own daily version of the network show titled “Suncoast View” which will premiere on September 8th at 4PM.
ABC 7 Sarasota has announced its team of Co-Hosts for “Suncoast View,” to include Stephanie Roberts, Co-Anchor of ABC 7’s Good Morning Suncoast, who will serve as the show’s moderator. Veteran reporter Linda Carson, ABC 7 Reporter Bobeth Yates and ABC 7 Political Contributor, Regina Hopper round out the panel.
Like the network version of the show, “Suncoast View” will feature the co-hosts discussing local “hot topics” in the news, sharing their opinions and engaging in hopefully lively conversations on every day issues and subjects such as parenting, relationships, cooking, fashion, entertainment, home & garden and politics. The program will also include interviews with newsmakers and stories trending on social media.

Stephanie Roberts, who joined ABC 7 in 2013, is the mother of two and has worked in major market morning television for over 15 years as both a news anchor and a meteorologist. Born and raised in Chicago, she has a Journalism degree from Penn State and a meteorology certification from Mississippi State University. Roberts has made numerous appearances as guest weather anchor on Good Morning America, most recently in June. She also serves occasionally as a guest host on the Home Shopping Network. Off the set, Roberts spends her time on sports fields with her daughter, Reagan and son, Ryan. The family shares a love of all sports and enjoys visiting area beaches, biking, fishing and gardening.
Linda Carson joined ABC 7 in 1995 and specializes in local entertainment reporting, with popular weekly segments called “Suncoast Scene” and “Event of the Week.” She also does a weekly report called “Amazing Women of the Suncoast.” Carson started her TV career in 1964 as a “TV Weather Girl” in Atlanta and went on to become one of the first female anchors in the country. Carson has covered many major stories over the course of her career, including the civil rights movement in Atlanta during the 1960’s, and was in a Sarasota classroom with President George W. Bush on September 11th when terrorists struck the World Trade Center. Linda Carson was married to football coach Bud Carson, known as the architect of the Pittsburgh Steelers “Steel Curtain” defense in the 1970’s.
Bobeth Yates joined ABC 7 as a general assignment reporter in 2012. Before moving to the Suncoast, she reported at stations in Fort Myers; Savannah, Georgia; Panama City, Florida and Great Falls, Montana. Yates has covered everything from presidential elections to bake sales. She has a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Florida State University.
Regina Hopper joined ABC 7 as a Political Contributor in 2014 and is a former network news correspondent. She covered the Bush and Clinton White Houses, reporting for the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, CBS Morning News, CBS Weekend News and 48 Hours. Hopper is an accomplished attorney, having worked in securities and bankruptcy law, and has also served as a top executive for several Washington D.C. industry associations, including America’s Natural Gas Alliance, US Telecom and the American Trucking Associations. Hopper has a JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas. She is also a Board Member of the Miss America Organization.
This is ABC 7’s first venture into an hour-long talk show in the afternoons outside of its regular news programming. The competition will be fierce going up against the ratings powerhouse of “Dr. Phil” in the 4PM time slot. It will be interesting to see how many local advertisers sign-on to sponsor the show.

(New York, NY) CBS Sports Network returns to the gridiron for the 2014 season with schedule of college football games featuring teams from the Mountain West, The American, Conference USA, Army and Navy football, the Patriot League and NCAA Division II. The Network will air 66 games this season, showcasing some of the nation’s top teams including Ohio State, Nebraska and Arizona State.
This year also marks the Network’s first season of American Athletic Conference football, with 15 games airing throughout the season, including Maryland at USF on Saturday, Sept. 6 (3:30 PM, ET) and NC State at USF on Saturday, Sept. 13 (3:30 PM, ET). The remainder of CBS Sports Network’s American Athletic Conference games will be selected on a six- and 12-day basis.
Carter Blackburn returns to CBS Sports Network this year as lead college football play-by-play announcer and will team with Aaron Taylor, forming the Network’s lead announce team. Other new voices are former Nebraska quarterback and Heisman Trophy Winner Eric Crouch, San Diego State quarterback Kevin O’Connell, play-by-play announcer Ron Pitts and studio analyst Fred Smoot. Reporters include newcomers Cassie Gallo, Melanie Collins and Courtney Fallon, along with Lauren Gardner, Sheehan Stanwick Burch, Susannah Collins and Rashan Ali.

(New York, NY) CBS Sports’ final-round coverage of the 2014 PGA Championship on Sunday, Aug. 10 (3:00-9:00 PM, ET), which saw Rory McIlroy win the Wanamaker Trophy, earned an average household rating/share of 6.0/13, up 36% from last year’s 4.4/10 in the Nielsen metered markets.
This year’s 6.0/13 marks the highest-rated final round in five years (2009; 7.5/17; Y.E. Yang won with Tiger Woods finishing second).
This year’s final-round rating peaked with a 9.2/17 from 8:00-8:30 PM, ET.
CBS Sports’ final-round coverage also was up 54% from 2012’s 3.9/8 when McIlroy won his first PGA Championship.
CBS Sports’ coverage of the 2014 PGA Championship on Saturday, Aug. 9 (2:00-7:15 PM, ET) was the highest-rated third round in five years with an average HH rating/share of 3.2/8, up 7% from last year’s 3.0/8 in the metered markets. This year’s third-round rating peaked with a 3.8/10 from 5:00-5:30 PM, ET.

Doug Miles and Ed Schneider to call Tampa Bay High School Game of the Week
(Sarasota, FL) Milestone Productions will produce online broadcasts of a Tampa Bay High School Football Game of the Week series for the 2014 season beginning Friday August 22nd with a Kickoff Classic game featuring the North Port Bobcats vs. Booker Tornadoes from Sarasota, FL at 7:30 p.m. Games will be broadcast live on Friday nights via Ustream.tv and podcasts will be posted at www.dougmilesmedia.com.
Doug Miles will handle the play-by-play duties and Ed Schneider will be the color analyst. This is the second season Miles and Schneider will call a “game of the week” series in Tampa Bay. Doug Miles has also called games for Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton Prep, Sarasota, Booker and Venice High Schools and is the play-by-play announcer for the Sarasota Millionaires Football team in the Florida Football Alliance.
