“NFL Monday QB” Returns to CBS Sports Network for Third Season

(New York, NY) “NFL Monday QB” returns to CBS Sports Network for its third season, as new “NFL On CBS” analyst Trent Green, a 15-year NFL veteran and All-Pro quarterback, joins returning analysts, Super Bowl XXXVII quarterback and 2002 NFL MVP, Rich Gannon; and 17-year veteran and All-Pro quarterback, Steve Beuerlein, for the weekly show.

Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms also will serve as analysts throughout the season. Adam Schein hosts from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.

“NFL Monday QB” brings together a roster of quarterbacks providing their unique and compelling opinion as they break down the week’s games from a quarterback’s perspective focusing on how quarterback play impacted the games, key plays and clutch drives, crucial decisions, star performances, winning and losing efforts and more.

The one-hour show debuts Monday, Sept. 8 at a special season-opening time (5:00-6:00 PM, ET). After Week 1, “NFL Monday QB” airs weekly at 6:30 PM, ET through Super Bowl XLIX.

Green, who joins the “NFL On CBS” as a game analyst this season, quarterbacked for the San Diego Chargers (1993-94), Washington Redskins (1995-98), St. Louis Rams (1999-2000, 2008), Kansas City Chiefs (2000-06) and Miami Dolphins (2007). His career was highlighted by his contributions to his hometown Rams’ victory in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans, and with the Chiefs in 2001 when he became only the fourth quarterback, at the time, to throw for more than 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons (Dan Fouts, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino). Also during his time in Kansas City, Green twice led the Chiefs into the playoffs and played in two Pro Bowls. He finished his career passing for 28,475 yards and 162 touchdowns, while compiling a quarterback rating of 86.0.
